Job summary

ESS Employment are seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the client’s expanding business. The role will be Lab based.

This temp to perm position offers 8.00am – 4.00pm or 9.00am – 5.00pm (flexible); Yate Office; and the chance to work with scientists, chemists and engineers on formulation trials, product testing and data analysis. Duties include operating lab equipment, recording and presenting results, analysing data sets and contributing to scale‑up of new products.

Qualifications

• Have practical laboratory or workshop experience.
• Educated in a STEM-related subject.
• Experience with basic data analysis and reporting tools.
• Flexible working hours and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Laboratory team in the development of building supplies.
• Conduct formulation trials and product testing.
• Work closely with scientists, chemists and engineers.
• Operate laboratory equipment, recording and presenting results.
• Analyse broad data sets and present lab results.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and scale‑up of new products.
• Workshop and Lab maintenance, cleaning and inspection.
