We are currently looking to recruit Laboratory Technicians at laboratories and projects throughout the UK. Long-term opportunities are available at the following locations:

• HS2 South Laboratory, Aylesbury, Oxfordshire
• HS2 North Laboratory, Greatworth, Northamptonshire
• Hinkley Point C, Near Bridgwater, Somerset
• Wren Hall Lane, Drax, Near Selby
• Kilsyth Laboratory, Glasgow, Scotland
• Inverness Laboratory, Scotland

The roles require candidates with experience in materials-related testing, including Concrete and Aggregates. There may be occasional support required for the wider materials team within the business.

Your mission

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out site sampling and laboratory testing to high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency
• Maintaining proper records in accordance with laboratory management system and UKAS requirements
• Performing sampling and testing according to British/European Standards
• Checking, cleaning, and maintaining test equipment
• Communicating effectively with internal/external clients and site engineering staff regarding testing requirements

Who are we looking for?

Candidates should have experience with:

• In-situ testing per relevant standards
• Materials/Aggregate sampling and testing
• Concrete sampling/testing
• Adherence to UKAS accreditation standards

Additional requirements include NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (advantage), and a CSCS card.
