Job summary

3D Bio-Tissues Ltd in Newcastle upon Tyne offers a Laboratory Technician Apprentice role as part of a Level 3 apprenticeship. You will help keep the lab running, look after spaces and equipment, manage stock, place orders and support scientists with daily tasks.

The programme runs over 20 months with blended online and in-person training, including at least 6 hours per week of off-the-job training and the potential for progression within the biotech field.

Qualifications

• Be 16 or over
• Not be in full-time education
• Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
• Have the right to work in the UK
• Apprenticeships designed to provide new knowledge, skills and behaviours; applicants should not already hold a Level 3, degree or higher qualification in a closely related subject, or have significant experience in the same field.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining laboratory spaces and equipment
• Monitoring supplies and keeping accurate stock records
• Placing orders and receiving and organising deliveries
• Supporting scientists with day‑to‑day laboratory tasks
• Following laboratory health and safety procedures
