Overview

Lab Technician – Stevenage, United Kingdom. We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious candidate to join the PerkinElmer OneSource Scientific Services team based at one of our customer sites in Stevenage, UK. The successful candidate will work within the PerkinElmer Technical Lab Services (TLS) division on a team at the customer site focused on delivering site-wide media and reagent services supporting innovative and life-changing research and development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare media and reagents to support site-wide research and development teams.

  • Maintain laboratory stocks, including consumables and solvents.

  • Deliver media and reagents to points of use, ensuring stock levels are maintained at the agreed volume and number.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment while ensuring health, safety, and compliance standards are met.

  • Actively contribute to scientific teams by presenting data at team meetings and identifying opportunities for innovation.

  • Maintain training and compliance in health and safety, security, environmental, and operational aspects of daily activities.

  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve services through discussions with team leaders and customers, or by sharing best practices with other groups.

  • Operate in accordance with approved quality standards.

  • Work independently and flexibly, setting realistic schedules aligned with team priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic background in Biology and/or Chemistry, with solid grounding in Mathematics and English.

  • 1–2 years of laboratory experience in an industrial or pharmaceutical setting, following defined protocols and SOPs.

  • Knowledge of GCP, GCLP, and GMP principles in pharmaceutical environments.
