Job summary

Mission 4 Recruitment is seeking a reliable Quality Assurance / Lab Technician for a well-established food manufacturing site in Harlow (CM19) and Enfield area. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with a salary around £27,770 per year and full training provided.

You will conduct routine testing on incoming wheat and finished flour, inspect deliveries, and support audits. A full UK driving licence is required to travel between local sites.

Qualifications

• Precise, methodical, and accurate with data entry and record-keeping.
• Enthusiastic attitude with a desire to learn technical laboratory processes (full training provided).
• Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle to travel between local sites.
• Dependable, adaptable and proactive in supporting day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine testing on incoming wheat and finished flour to ensure high standards prior to product release.
• Inspect wheat deliveries on arrival, identifying and reporting quality issues prior to unloading.
• Perform practical laboratory tests on complaint samples and competitor products as needed.
• Carry out routine food safety checks and support audits.
• Inspect incoming ingredients and packaging with FSQM guidance.
• Check and monitor additive feeder dosage rates on a regular basis.

Lab Technician

Our client, an established food manufacturing business, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join their quality team as a Quality Assurance / Lab Technician.

No prior laboratory experience is required for this role, as full training will be provided! If you have a strong eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a full UK driving license to travel between local sites, this is an excellent opportunity to build a career in a vital, fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine testing on incoming wheat and finished flour to ensure high standards prior to product release.
• Inspect wheat deliveries on arrival, identifying and reporting any quality issues prior to unloading.
• Perform practical laboratory tests on complaint samples and competitor products as needed.
• Carry out routine food safety checks and support the Technical Manager with internal and third-party audits.
• Inspect incoming ingredients and packaging alongside the FSQM, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Check and monitor additive feeder dosage rates on a regular basis.
