Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Bretby - Derby

Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Working Days: Tuesday - Saturday

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team in Bretby. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting laboratory operations and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our lab.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
2. Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
3. Collect, analyze, and record data from experiments and tests.
4. Ensure all laboratory protocols and safety guidelines are followed.
5. Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation of findings.
6. Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
7. Order and manage laboratory supplies and inventory.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a scientific field is preferred.
• Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
