Job Description Summary

As a Senior Product Owner, you’ll lead delivery with teams of complex workstreams to deliver the re-platforming of stockbroking. You’ll work across governance, both internal and external, such as FCA governance and contracting, and collaborate directly with the 3rd party platform provider to address a backlog of enhancements on the proposed product platform. Your role will involve working across the Group and with third parties to transform the business.

Working Pattern: Hybrid, involving at least two days per week at our Leeds office.

About this opportunity

Join our team as a Senior Product Owner, where you'll help reimagine our stockbroking services, support the Lab Product Owner, Business Platform Lead, and the broader team in designing and delivering customer and colleague journeys, and transforming our stockbroking business.

The “Stockbroking Lab” supports Halifax Share Dealing Ltd., providing investment products across Lloyds Banking Group’s brands. We use agile methodologies to deliver value iteratively, aligning with our purpose of helping Britain prosper, and making a difference through our work.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of a new product platform for customer and colleague journeys.
  • Manage complex backlog of functional and technical changes with a third party.
  • Lead contractual and third-party engagement, including governance.
  • Develop product features from concept to live, focusing on delivering measurable value.
  • Collaborate with journey managers and engineers to break down work into increments aligned with customer needs and business goals.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, shaping the roadmap with stakeholders.
  • Lead change governance, ensuring compliance with frameworks and regulations.
  • Drive readiness activities, including training, testing, and implementation planning.
  • Showcase progress and outcomes to demonstrate delivery on vision.

What you’ll need
  • Experience as a Product Owner, managing a backlog with clear prioritization decisions.
  • Experience leading multiple delivery teams across locations.
  • Proven ability to track benefits across customer, commercial, and technology changes.
  • Strong understanding of the UK investments market, gained through operational and project roles.
  • Experience engaging with board-level and GEC leaders, as well as regulators.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources and budgets effectively.
  • Experience working with multi-location teams, including UK and India.
  • Understanding of RAID management and risk escalation.
  • Basic technological understanding to support the team and ensure efficient solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate decisions and progress.
  • Experience managing complex change governance processes.
Additional desirable experience
  • Familiarity with stockbroking, especially Halifax Share Dealing Ltd.
  • Background in delivering complex technology design and change.
  • Experience designing or updating digital customer journeys.
  • Track record of embodying Lloyds Banking Group values.
