The Fountain Group

is currently seeking a Lab Operations Specialist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Malvern, PA. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

**HYBRID (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)**

  1. Support laboratory operations (will NOT be performing testing / research activities).
  2. Track lab operation activities.
  3. Work with vendors to service equipment and ensure activities are completed thoroughly; understand how a lab operates.
  4. Monitor temperatures in the labs.
  5. Maintain constant communication with scientists.
  6. Require a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field, with at least 2 years of industry laboratory experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 1 year of experience.
  7. Be familiar with lab operation activities such as instrument maintenance, calibration, qualification, sample management, storage, shipping logistics, freezer management, safety, and tidiness.
  8. Track multiple lab activities in an organized and timely manner to ensure excellent execution.
  9. Coordinate with internal and external service teams, providers, Quality, and scientists to ensure activities are completed properly.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to work effectively in a cross-functional, customer-focused environment.
  11. Experience with at least two of the following techniques: ELISA, FRET, qPCR, cell culture and aseptic technique, cell-based potency assays, flow cytometry, or biochemical assays for impurities and HCP.
  12. Experience working in a cGMP environment is required.
  13. Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks is preferred.
  14. Ability to independently plan and execute lab operation activities with limited guidance.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree.
  • Willing to focus on tracking lab activities, temperature monitoring, working with vendors, etc. (no testing/research).
  • At least 1 year of industry experience, with a preference for cGMP experience.
  • Lab operations background, including inventory management, equipment ordering, vendor coordination, and temperature monitoring.
  • Experience with at least two of the following: ELISA, FRET, qPCR, cell culture, aseptic technique, flow cytometry (experience from undergraduate studies is acceptable).

Compensation: $28-38 per hour, depending on experience.
