Job summary

IDRM (Institute of Developmental & Regenerative Medicine) in Oxford seeks a Head of Laboratory Operations to support cardiovascular development and regeneration groups. You will ensure efficient lab operations, maintain safety standards, and manage equipment, reagents and staff training to enable cutting-edge research.

  • PhD in a relevant scientific field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience.
  • Experience working with animals.
  • Proven ability to work with databases, spreadsheets and finance systems.
  • Good knowledge of biological health and safety and best laboratory practice.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient laboratory functionality and operations.
  • Manage equipment and resources; order reagents and consumables.
  • Induct and train new and existing staff.
  • Support ongoing research across cardiovascular theme.
