Job summary

The University of Oxford is offering an Apprentice Laboratory and Facilities Assistant role within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. You will support Laboratory/Operations Managers and Facilities Teams in safe, efficient running of the department's scientific and clinical research spaces.

The program is a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship, based mainly at John Radcliffe with occasional duties at Old Road Campus; learning online once a week;

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths, English and a science subject (or equivalent) required.
• Evidence of willingness to undertake a Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Follow Health and Safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe lab environment.
• Carry out regular visual inspections and report faults and hazards.
• Assist with safety inspections, fire alarm tests and evacuation drills.
