Job summary

Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore is seeking a reliable Stores / Logistics Operator at our Witham site. You will help manage samples, stock, and materials across laboratories and warehouses, ensuring smooth workflows and timely deliveries.

The role offers shift pattern rotation, 37.5 hours per week, and opportunities for forklift training. A proactive candidate with a good work ethic and basic IT/numeracy skills will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Basic IT and numeracy skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Physically fit and flexible with working hours (including weekends when required).
• Forklift licence desirable (training available).

Responsibilities

• Manage and transfer deliveries (chemicals, consumables) into main stores.
• Move samples, glassware, and materials between laboratories.
• Handle waste management processes, including weighing, labelling, and storage.
• Process stock movements (IN/OUT) and maintain accurate stock records.
• Conduct regular stock checks.
• Assist with loading/unloading deliveries, including forklift use (training provided).
• Support logistics activities, including use of the company van.
