Job description

We are seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team, working 4 days a week. The schedule includes three days at the Somerset, WI Clinic and one day at the Stillwater, MN location.


Position Scope:

Responsibilities include performing laboratory procedures according to established clinic guidelines and relevant regulations. All activities support the mission, goals, and objectives of the Stillwater Medical Group.


Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
  • OSHA Training.

Skills:

  • Advanced organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities daily.
  • Knowledge of healthcare field.
  • Skill in performing assigned tasks with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to learn and retain patient care procedures.
  • Professional and compassionate demeanor.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and standardized procedures.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills with staff, patients, and families.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment, including phlebotomy, preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities daily.

Computer proficiency:

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Keyboarding skills.
