About the role:

In this exciting new role, you will be part of a production line filling pharmaceutical products in a cleanroom environment. You will also operate other machines that are used to make the final product.

What you'll be doing in the role:

People Management

1. Set up the clean room and ensure all tools and apparatus are thoroughly cleaned
2. Maintaining biological integrity and equipment hygiene at the beginning and end of each day.
3. Responsible for ingredient handling in the clean room
4. Setting up machines ready for preparation of products
5. Participating in cleaning procedures
6. Key member of filling and product assembly line ensuring a high quality and consistent product
7. Operating the machines in line with related safety procedures and risk assessments
8. Collaborate with the production, dispensary and the warehouse teams to manage the ingredients and final product
9. Quality control process including collecting, logging and keeping accurate records
10. Assess and report anomalies, malfunctions to the other staff.
11. Working in a fast, efficient and controlled manner. Ensure the smooth running of the production line that may require frequent standing for long periods of time.
12. Packing of the product and ensure it is labelled correctly for distribution. Working well as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the product is dispatched on time

What you'll bring to the role:

Core Skills:

1. Ability to read, follow written instructions and have numeracy skills.

You should be able to think ahead, anticipate problems and issues.

1. Mechanical skills – basic mechanical aptitude and good manual dexterity are essential
2. Attention to detail – production line operators perform quality control by verifying that all materials on the line meet company standards
3. Computer skills – production line systems are semi automated, so operator must have at least basic computer skills. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office or Google Suite
4. Communication skills – operators maintain good verbal communication with supervisors and fellow workers
5. Experience in a pharmacy, laboratory or manufacturing environment would be an advantage
