Job summary

A leading firm in the plastics industry is seeking a Lab and Colour Match Technician to ensure quality control and accurate colour matching for their products. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities. This full-time position is located at the head office on the Wrexham Industrial Estate, and successful applicants will be required to operate on a shift pattern as necessary.

Job Title: Lab and Colour Match Technician

Salary: starting at 25,958.40

Location: Silvergate Plastics, LL13 9XS

Reporting to: Mark Loughlin (Technical Manager)

Role information:

We are seeking a full-time permanent technician to join our Colour Match and Quality Control team. The primary responsibility of the role will be to ensure accurate colour matching and quality control of our products. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, an interest in colour matching and seeking a long term career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct colour matching and quality control tests on plastic products.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of colour formulas and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure colour consistency in manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any colour-related issues that may arise.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of colour matching techniques and processes.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to operate on a shift pattern once at the required standard, in order to continue their development in the role.
