Old Park School is seeking qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support children with diverse learning needs. This role involves working in a dedicated team to enhance pupil potential and ensure safety, with a commitment to safeguarding practices. The position offers a salary of £20,899 - £22,678 per year, term time only, and requires relevant qualifications and skills.
Old Park is a community special school for children and young people aged 4-19 with a wide range of learning, sensory, and health needs. Our children have diverse needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, Severe Learning Difficulties, and Autism. Pupils require support with communication, interaction, and sometimes co-regulation. All pupils attending Old Park School have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
Our most recent OFSTED report from May 2024 confirmed the school maintained its overall judgement of Outstanding following this ungraded (Section 8) inspection.
Pupils' attainment levels are generally below age-related expectations, mostly within pre-subject-specific or pre-key stage standards. Data indicates pupils make good to outstanding progress across the school.
The school is divided into four phases to provide age-appropriate experiences. Classes are grouped primarily by pupil need within each key stage to effectively implement individual plans. A complex care team, led by the School Nurse, supports health and medical needs.
We have a dedicated team of trained staff, including Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, a Swimming Instructor, Family Support Lead, and Administrators. We pride ourselves on the support we provide to our pupils.
