Job description

AssocRICS / MRICS / FRICS - Remote working Residential Surveyors - Hiring in Devon - £50-£60,000, plus car allowance (or mileage allowance), monthly bonus, OTE £60-90,000 approx.

My client is a well-established national Chartered Surveying practice founded over 15 years ago.

Well respected in the sector, they have experienced steady growth and remain independent, employing around 35 professionals, mainly operating in the L2 / L3 home surveying sector. They are entering their next growth phase and are interested in speaking with experienced L2 / L3 Surveyors committed to maintaining high-quality standards.

Having spoken with the founder, a friendly, balanced, and experienced leader, I believe they offer an opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company that has an established infrastructure to train, support, and provide career advancement opportunities, with a focus on promotion from within.

Their work primarily involves L2 and L3 surveys (suggested text, templated) and red book valuations, although they do not currently undertake secured lending work. Training can be provided for other work streams, including expert witness. Typical workload is one L3 survey per day or two L2 surveys per day, as an example.

What an offer would likely include:

  1. Basic salary between £50,000 and £60,000 depending on experience and location, with an OTE of approximately £60,000 to £90,000.
  2. A bonus scheme where fees generated within your area earn a 30% bonus of net fees in any given month, above the bonus threshold.
  3. Car allowance (approximately £6,000 per annum), though most opt for a mileage allowance, which is explained further below.
  4. Private healthcare, with family options likely available, including salary sacrifice.
  5. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with years of service.
  6. RICS subscription and CPD costs covered; sponsorship for VRS included.
  7. Pension scheme as per government statutory requirements.
