Job description

AssocRICS / MRICS / FRICS - Remote working Residential Surveyors - Hiring in Carlisle- £50-£60,000, plus car allowance (or milage allowance) monthly bonus OTE £60 - 90,000 approx.

My client are a well-established national Chartered Surveying practice founded over 15 years ago.

Well respected in the sector, they have seen steady growth over the years and remain independent, employing around 35 professionals, operating mainly in the L2 / L3 home surveying sector. They are in the middle of their next growth phrase and are interested in speaking with experienced L2 / L3 Surveyors who are committed to maintaining a quality standard.

Having spoken with the founder who is a friendly, balanced and experienced leader I believe they offer an opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company whohave an established internal infrastructure to train, support and provide further career opportunities as the company grows, with an emphasis on promotion from within.

They carry out primarily L2 and L3 work (suggested text, templated) and red book valuations although no secured lending work. Training can be provided for other work streams including expert witness. Typical workload is one L3 per day, or two L2’s per day by way of an example.

What an offer would likely look like:

  • Basic salary between £50 – 60,000 depending on experience and location – £OTE £60 - 90,000 approx.
  • They operate a bonus scheme where any fees generated within your area would see a bonus of 30% of net fees undertaken within any given month and in excess of the bonus threshold.
  • They offer to pay car allowance (approx. £6,000 per annum) but having worked out the numbers, most opt for a millage allowance instead which is explained further below.
  • Private health care – family options likely available but will include salary sacrifice.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with years of employment.
  • RICS Subscription and CPD covered, sponsorship to obtain VRS included.
  • Pension – Government statutory scheme
