Location: London (2 Days on site)

Contract: 6 Months (With the potential to extend)

Overall Purpose of the Role

Barclays is seeking an accomplished L&D Project Manager to backfill a high-performing lead on a flagship digital accreditation and coaching initiative. This includes a pilot blending real-life digital coaching and AI-enhanced virtual coaching designed to scale across the organisation by 2026. The successful candidate will ensure the pilot delivers measurable value, generates insight-driven recommendations, and galvanises stakeholder support for enterprise-wide adoption.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a seasoned L&D professional with strong programme delivery, HR transformation, and stakeholder management skills, ideally gained in financial services or large consultancy settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of a cross-functional digital coaching pilot for senior leaders and people managers

  • Translate pilot results into a compelling use case and benefits case for 2026 scale-up

  • Influence and drive buy-in from stakeholders, many of whom may be change-resistant

  • Shape and manage project plans, risks, dependencies, and communication strategies

  • Align with broader L&D strategies including mandatory training, cultural initiatives, and promotions criteria

  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including PMO, executive sponsors, and internal systems teams

  • Navigate complex HR and L&D systems environments, including Workday and internal Learning Labs

  • Ensure programme delivery integrates with Barclays’ broader cultural transformation roadmap

Key Skills:

  • Formal project management qualifications: PRINCE2, APM, Agile or equivalent (mandatory)

  • Strong track record in enterprise-level L&D or HR transformation programmes

  • Background in financial services or global consultancy environments

  • Familiarity with Workday, performance management systems, and accredited learning models

  • Demonstrated ability to engage with C-suite stakeholders and drive change across matrixed organisations

  • Experience in culture-led change, organisational design, and employee engagement strategies

  • Confident analysing programme data and working alongside insight/analytics teams to shape decisions

  • Exposure to talent frameworks, such as succession planning or performance calibration
