Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Political Campaign Manager located in Alton, IL, covering Illinois' 15th Congressional District.

The Campaign Manager will:

  • Lead and implement the campaign’s strategic plan, fundraising, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Serve as a close advisor and partner to the candidate, managing signature gathering and ballot access.
  • Manage campaign departments, vendors, and consultants across various functions.
  • Coordinate with staff, volunteers, the candidate, vendors, and consultants.
  • Manage the candidate’s schedule, including calls, events, canvasses, and media appearances.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local leaders, endorsers, unions, and community organizations.
  • Monitor campaign budget and ensure compliance with FEC requirements.
  • Represent the campaign publicly as needed.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and values-driven leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience in political campaign management and related skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Experience managing staff, fundraising, budgets, and consultants.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least two full campaign cycles of US Congressional experience, with preference for senior roles.
  • Understanding of Democratic campaign strategy in Central and Southern Illinois.
  • High emotional intelligence and a team-first mentality.
  • Proficiency with campaign tools like NGP VAN/Votebuilder, Google Workspace.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields preferred.
  • Ability to work in a smoke and drug-free environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and car.
