Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Political Campaign Manager located in Alton, IL, covering Illinois' 15th Congressional District.
The Campaign Manager will:
- Lead and implement the campaign’s strategic plan, fundraising, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Serve as a close advisor and partner to the candidate, managing signature gathering and ballot access.
- Manage campaign departments, vendors, and consultants across various functions.
- Coordinate with staff, volunteers, the candidate, vendors, and consultants.
- Manage the candidate’s schedule, including calls, events, canvasses, and media appearances.
- Build and maintain relationships with local leaders, endorsers, unions, and community organizations.
- Monitor campaign budget and ensure compliance with FEC requirements.
- Represent the campaign publicly as needed.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, interns, and volunteers.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and values-driven leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience in political campaign management and related skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Project management experience.
- Sales experience is a plus.
- Leadership and organizational abilities.
- Experience managing staff, fundraising, budgets, and consultants.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- At least two full campaign cycles of US Congressional experience, with preference for senior roles.
- Understanding of Democratic campaign strategy in Central and Southern Illinois.
- High emotional intelligence and a team-first mentality.
- Proficiency with campaign tools like NGP VAN/Votebuilder, Google Workspace.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields preferred.
- Ability to work in a smoke and drug-free environment.
- Valid driver’s license and car.
