KYC & CDD Analyst - Corporate Banking

Excellent opportunity for a CDD & KYC Analyst in the Customer Due Diligence Management Team (“CDDM Team”) in undertaking specific tasks, as outlined in the following section, involving CDD management of accounts under the ownership relationship of Account Services and Corporate Banking (Real Estate, Multi-Industry and Structured & Project Finance) Business Units.

Job Responsibilities

Assist Senior CDD & KYC Analyst with the following tasks:

Document Management and Review

  • Collate all appropriate documents for Onboarding (“OB”), Periodical Review (“PR”), and Triggering Event Review (“TER”) for both corporate and individual customers.
  • Scan supporting source documents to enable electronic viewing.
  • Maintain registers for High Risk, Medium Risk, Low Risk, and TER customers, including record-keeping of all relevant documents.

Customer Risk Classification and Reporting

  • Risk-classify customers in accordance with the institution’s risk assessment methodology (classifications may include high [two levels], medium, and low) for both corporate and individual customers.
  • Prepare the Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) template and Customer Due Diligence Management (CDDM) Report for Compliance approval.

Beneficial Ownership and High-Risk Customer Verification

  • Ensure that beneficial ownership is clearly established with appropriate documentary evidence.
  • For high-risk customers, such as Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), ensure that the Source of Funds (SOF) and Source of Wealth (SOW) have been adequately established and corroborated in line with relevant requirements and guidelines.

Screening and Research

  • Conduct all necessary name screenings, assess and determine false or true hits, and document justifications where applicable.
  • Investigate alerts generated from the daily name screening platform by conducting appropriate assessments and undertaking TERs related to potential or true name screening hits, seeking necessary approvals within stipulated timelines to close cases.
  • Perform web-based research to identify any material adverse news, which forms an integral part of the review when applicable.

Coordination and Approvals

  • Liaise promptly with Relationship Managers (RMs) to address any KYC deficiencies or updates to documentary or customer information as identified.
  • Prepare the appropriate templates for signature by all necessary officials (CRA, CSR, and Matrix forms).
  • Submit approval requests to the relevant approvers for continuing the business relationship under PR, TER, or OB cases in accordance with the prevailing approval matrix.

Data Submission and Maintenance

  • Complete and submit the C2C template (Customers and Connected Parties) to Account Services to maintain accurate and up-to-date records under the customer’s standalone and group trees, as well as in the relevant systems, in a timely manner.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as delegated by the Senior CDD/KYC Analyst or Team Manager.
  • Review and provide feedback on relevant local and group policies in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Senior CDD & KYC Analyst in keeping the CDDM Manual up to date.
  • Support the Senior CDD & KYC Analyst with AML-related system implementations.
