Job summary

Our client in the financial services sector is seeking an experienced KYC Checker for second-line reviews of CDD/EDD files. The role involves independent file sign-off, challenging work from KYC makers, and ensuring adherence to global policy standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years in KYC/AML, strong regulatory knowledge, and a proven track record in high-volume environments. It is a 6-month contract with a salary up to £35k, based in London or the Greater London area.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5+ years in a KYC/AML or compliance role within financial services.
• Experience performing peer reviews or sign-offs in checker roles.
• Strong knowledge of global KYC regulations and firm policies.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail; able to solve regulatory challenges.

Responsibilities

• Act as checker, signing off on completed CDD and EDD files.
• Own file reviews with quality checks and second line reviews.
• Validate KYC files against internal standards and policies.
• Manage a high volume of KYC cases and periodic reassessments.
• Identify and resolve complex KYC issues with KYC makers.
• Ensure risk ratings align with policy and regulatory thresholds.
• Escalate regulatory or quality queries to stakeholders globally.
• Stay current on global KYC regulation and internal policies.
