Job description

Healthcare Support Worker

Hours: 16hrs/wk Mon-Fri

Location: Treatment room/CTAC, Peterhead Community Hospital. Contract: Permanent

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HCSW to become part of a busy team delivering a CTAC service for the patients of the Peterhead Locality. The department also includes an Out-Patients department and a Minor Injuries Service. This post would be predominantly within the treatment room, but flexibility is essential as the successful applicant may be asked to cover in other areas of the department.

Candidates must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to undergo further training.

Applicants should preferably have a broad range of clinical skills, e.g., venepuncture, wound management, ECGs, INR, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

The post holder must have the ability to work under pressure to deliver safe and effective care.

Effective team players with excellent communication and IT skills are essential.

These posts are for 16 hours per week, with scope to increase depending on service needs.
