Job description

Health Care Support Worker Position on Muirton Ward

Muirton is an acute mental health admission assessment ward for an elderly patient group with dementia-type illnesses. The ward requires a keen and motivated HCSW to maintain high standards. Applicants should demonstrate awareness and be willing to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the Moray Older Adult Psychiatry service.

Previous experience working in acute admission or with the elderly is advantageous but not required. Good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly and harmoniously in a multidisciplinary team are essential.

Support and encouragement will be provided to meet mandatory and other essential training requirements.

The post involves rotational working within a flexible 12-hour shift system to maintain continuity and meet service needs.

This is a part-time permanent contract, offering 30 hours per week.
