Job summary
The University of Salford is offering a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate role to lead the design and implementation of a unified digital platform. You will work with HMG Paints’ IT team and cross-functional colleagues to connect production, stock management, quality control, planning and operational systems, creating a single source of truth across the organisation.

Qualifications
- A 2.1 BEng/BSc in Computer Science, Digital Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related discipline.
- Experience in systems integration, IT architecture, data architecture, system interoperability, software development or digital transformation projects.
- Experience with databases, reporting tools, forecasting systems or business platforms.
- Understanding of process improvement, operational excellence and data-driven decision making.
- Knowledge of AI, ML, intelligent automation or advanced analytics in manufacturing or operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, ERP or supply chain environments is advantageous.
- Postgraduate MSc in Digital Transformation, Data Analytics, Information Systems or related discipline desirable.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a unified digital platform integrating multiple legacy systems.
- Collaborate with IT team and business units to map requirements and drive adoption.
- Develop data models and dashboards to enable real-time operational visibility.
- Lead transformation initiatives and manage complex system integrations across functions.
- Embed new processes and build capability for sustainable change across the company.
