Job summary

Reports to Head of Science and starts January 2027; this permanent role carries the Ark Main Payscale AM1-AM6 with a salary of £41,328 to £53,606, reflecting your responsibilities and impact on pupil attainment

KS5 Science Lead Teacher

The Role

We seek a committed and enthusiastic professional to join our established science team. Working within the Science team, this role will lead our Key Stage 5 teaching and learning, ensuring great outcomes for learners of both A-Level and BTEC qualifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to drive standards across the wider teaching team, ensuing long term planning, individual lesson preparations, and communication and accountability for students help all achieve. Experience of coordinating BTEC qualifications would be an advantage.

Reports to: Head of Science

Start date: Immediate/January 2027

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £41,328 - £53,606 (Ark Main Pay Scale AM1-AM6)
