Job description

Location: East of England, Essex, Braintree

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide specialised English and Maths tutoring for Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop individualised learning plans to support students' academic progress and personal development
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons both in-person and through online platforms
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student support

Required Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification in English and Maths
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and best practices
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, with flexibility in scheduling
  • Work may be conducted in school settings, student homes, or online
  • Collaborative work with school staff, parents, and educational professionals
