We are seeking a dedicated, inspiring and skilled KS3 Nurture Teacher to join our team at Baston House School in Bromley, Kent on a fixed-term basis to cover a period of paternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about inclusive education, holistic child development, and individualised learning pathways.
About the role: You will lead a small Key Stage 3 nurture class, supporting pupils with autism and additional needs. You will deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that meets their academic targets while also promoting communication skills, emotional regulation, independence, and life skills.
This is not a traditional mainstream teaching role. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour analysts, and pastoral staff. Together, you will work to remove barriers to learning and help every young person feel valued, understood, and successful.
We're looking for a caring, flexible, and resilient teacher with a strong understanding of SEN and a creative approach to learning. You must be confident working with children and young people who may present with challenging behaviour, communication difficulties, and complex emotional needs.
