Job summary

The Heath School in Runcorn is seeking a KS3 Lead for Science to drive curriculum, teaching and learning across Year 7-9. You will lead assessment, monitor pupil outcomes and work with the Subject Lead to secure exceptional education for all students.

We are looking for an ambitious and collaborative leader who is committed to safeguarding, inclusion and continuous improvement, and who will play a key role in shaping a high-quality school experience.

  • Experience in leading KS3 Science or subject leadership.

  • Lead KS3 Science curriculum, teaching and learning across year groups.
  • Drive high quality education through an ambitious curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Champion The Heath Standard of Teaching and support students including those who are disadvantaged or have SEND.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff and families; contribute to school ethos and values.

About the Role

As KS3 Lead for Science, you will:

  • - Provide leadership for the curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment and student outcomes within KS3 Science.
  • - Play a pivotal role in securing exceptional Quality of Education through the delivery of an ambitious curriculum, working closely with the Subject Lead
  • - Strive for high standards of teaching and learning, and strong outcomes for all students
  • - Champion The Heath Standard of Teaching, promote a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement, and ensure that all learners, including disadvantaged students, students with SEND and other vulnerable groups, are supported to achieve their full potential.
