Teaching Personnel in Newport is seeking a KS3 Teacher to join a specialist school, supporting pupils with diverse additional learning needs. You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons, collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families, and contribute to EHCPs and reviews.

Qualifications

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching KS3 learners, ideally within an SEN, ALN, or specialist education.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning approaches that support individual pupil outcomes.
  • Foster communication, emotional regulation, social development, and independence.
  • Monitor progress and celebrate achievement in all its forms.
  • Support pupils with their personal development and wellbeing needs.
  • Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and pupil reviews where appropriate.
