Job summary

Education at Ivy Resource Group in Gloucester is seeking a Key Stage 3 & 4 Teaching Assistant to support secondary aged students with additional needs and behavioural challenges.

You will work closely with teaching staff to help students engage with learning, provide one-to-one and small group support, and assist with off-site activities while fostering a safe, positive learning environment. This is a full-time, long-term role with competitive daily pay.

Qualifications

• At least 30 days' experience working with children or young people.
• Experience supporting students with additional needs or challenging behaviour is desirable.
• No formal qualifications required—your experience, enthusiasm and commitment matter most.
• A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support KS3 and KS4 students throughout the school day, both in and out of the classroom.

• Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, supportive learning environment.

Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Holiday Pay - 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot)

This is a rewarding opportunity to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who benefit from additional guidance, encouragement, and tailored support throughout the school day.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to help students engage with learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships. Every day is different, making this an ideal role for someone who is adaptable, resilient, and committed to supporting young people.
