Job summary

Cantell School in England is seeking a part-time Science teacher to cover KS3 and KS4, including GCSE specifications. You will plan quality-first lessons with adaptive strategies for all learners, including those with SEND, and use assessment to track progress.

The role offers 32.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri); ECTs receive structured mentoring. Applicants must have qualified teacher status or be completing training; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified teacher or trainee completing teacher training.
• Strong knowledge of Science at KS3/KS4 and GCSE specifications.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and adaptive teaching.
• Effective assessment to track and support student progress.

Responsibilities

• Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering GCSE specifications.
• Plan quality-first lessons with adaptive strategies for all learners including SEND.
• Use assessment to monitor progress and adapt teaching.
• Collaborate with SEND team and support staff on scaffolding and access.
• Contribute to curriculum development with the Head of Department.
