Job summary

St John Fisher Catholic Primary School is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to cover a maternity leave. The role supports Key Stage 2 pupils, following planned targets and contributing to a caring classroom environment.

You should have a TA Level 3 qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and be able to work well within a team, with SEND/Sensory needs experience. The post is term-time and fixed-term, starting 2 November 2026.

Qualifications

• TA Level 3 qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is required.
• Experience with supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 is desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a caring, proactive school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to pupils in Key Stage 2 under teacher guidance.
• Assist with planning, targets and outcomes for learning.
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
