KS2 Teaching Assistant - Whitstable

Location: Whitstable, Kent

Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing

Salary: £80-£120 Per day

Are you a graduate who wants to become a teacher and needs classroom experience before applying on a PGCE course? Are you an experienced or newly qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a new role local to you in Whitstable? Do you have an enthusiastic, positive and caring approach? Do you have experience of supporting children on a 1:1 basis across Key Stage 2?

Successful Candidates will:
  1. Have a team player approach
  2. Be adaptable and flexible
  3. Have experience of supporting children of all learning abilities
  4. Have strong behaviour management and good communication skills
  5. Provide continued support for the teacher within a chosen classroom
  6. Carry out one to one and/or small group work with students
  7. Provide tuition and booster sessions with pupils working at a lower ability or on the Special Educational Needs register
You will:
  1. Have either a Degree or Masters
  2. Have experience on your CV where you have worked with students in some capacity (ie Youth Work/ Teaching Assistant/ University Ambassador/ Graduate Tutor, etc).
  3. Be passionate about working in a school
  4. Be ambitious with a strong yet also outgoing and warm personality
  5. Be flexible and adaptable
  6. Have experience of working in KS2 Classroom Settings
