An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant! Step Teachers are working with a school in Barnet to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support pupils from Year 5 and provide additional 121 support where needed.

KS2 Teaching Assistant - Role:

  • Provide consistent 121 support to a high-functioning pupil, assisting with learning tasks and classroom engagement.
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Act as a positive role model for students, promoting appropriate behaviour and social skills.

KS2 Teaching Assistant – Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a KS2 Teaching Assistant is essential.
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities are crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff and students.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential.
  • SEND experience is desirable.
