KS2 Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools | Sheffield & Barnsley | September 2025 Start

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teaching Assistants to join supportive and vibrant primary schools across Sheffield and Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and development during their key educational years.

Location: Sheffield & Barnsley

Role: KS2 Teaching Assistant

Start Date: September 2025 (immediate starts also available)

Contract: Full-time / Part-time | Term-time only | Long-term / Temp-to-perm

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils aged 7–11 in Key Stage 2 classrooms
  • Assisting with lesson delivery, group work, and class management
  • Providing one-to-one and small group interventions
  • Supporting children with additional needs (SEND, EAL, etc.)
  • Collaborating with class teachers and other school staff

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a school setting
  • Relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3) is desirable
  • Understanding of the KS2 national curriculum
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
  • A caring, proactive, and confident approach
