GSL Education are delighted to be recruiting a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher for a warm and inclusive primary school in Newark. The role can be full-time or part-time and can be either day-to-day supply or long-term, depending on your availability.

In this role as a KS2 Teacher, you will lead a class in Years 3 to 6, helping students to explore new ideas, solve problems, and build confidence in core subjects. You will play a key part in helping students get ready for end-of-key-stage assessments and their transition to secondary school.

Key Duties:

  • Provide creative and structured lessons covering all main subjects.
  • Adapt techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess students' understanding and keep parents updated on their child's progress.
  • Boost children's confidence, teamwork, and personal growth.
  • Follow safeguarding rules to ensure students feel protected and supported.

KS2 Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching in KS2 (Years 3–6) is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a positive approach to behaviour.
  • Confident in using assessment tools to track progress and inform teaching.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
  • Flexible working options to suit your needs.
  • Work in supportive schools with friendly staff and students.
