Job description

KS2 Supply Teachers Required in RUGBY

You will be working with Hays Education, one of the largest recruitment agencies working within primary schools in Rugby. We are currently recruiting Supply Teachers who can teach within Key Stage 2 on a day-to-day basis as well as long-term.

Supply Teaching

As a Supply Teacher, you will be working in a classroom teaching children in the absence of their original teachers. You will have the responsibility of teaching; the expectation is for you to deliver the lessons following plans left by their class teacher, mark all books following the schools' marking policy, and provide feedback where required. You will also be observing behaviour and ensuring all children are following the behavioural policy, and any other issues should be reported back to the Teacher - any safeguarding issues must be reported to the on-duty DSL.

You may be supporting different schools on a day-to-day, ad hoc basis or, if this is your preferred choice, you will be working at the same school on a long-term basis, either full-time or part-time. Remember, working on supply is completely flexible and can work around your other commitments.

What you'll need to succeed
  • To be a successful Supply Teacher, you must have a good knowledge of the primary school National Curriculum where you will be covering various year groups.
  • You should be able to adapt to different teaching methods and environments and be confident in doing so.
  • You must have experience teaching within the last 5 years in the teaching industry and hold a QTS, PGCE, or ECT.
What you'll get in return
  • Flexible working options are available.
  • In return for working as a Supply Teacher for Hays, you will have one point of contact with one of our dedicated consultants.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of schools, allowing you to explore your options.
  • If this role does not interest you, but you know someone who would, please refer them to us and get £250 in vouchers when they complete 20 days of supply.
