Job summary

Long-Term Teachers is seeking enthusiastic KS2 Supply Teachers to support primary schools in Torquay and surrounding areas. Positions include part-time ad hoc roles (minimum three days per week) and full-time supply opportunities, with schools offering nurturing, inclusive learning environments and opportunities to gain experience across different settings.

As a KS2 Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons, follow plans where provided, and maintain a safe, supportive classroom.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience in a primary school setting.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required for qualified teacher assignments.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Availability for at least three days per week for part-time opportunities, with full-time availability also welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 2.
• Follow lesson plans and learning objectives provided by the school where available.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and ensure continuity of learning.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Monitor pupils' understanding and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and school leadership.
