Job description

Key Stage 2 Primary School Teacher.

Your new school

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Teacher to work within a medium-sized Primary School in Caerphilly County. The school has a happy and enthusiastic atmosphere, with staff working together to create a supportive and inspiring environment. If successful, you will work alongside a great Senior Leadership Team, supportive Teachers, and Teaching Assistants. You will be part of a team that aims to nurture good relationships between home and school.

Your new role

This role is confirmed long-term, teaching a Key Stage 2 class. You will be responsible for full-time teaching duties, including lesson preparation, and providing high-quality teaching experiences to help pupils achieve their best and develop confidence in their learning journey. Your duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Create lesson plans.
  2. Create and maintain a safe, interactive, and engaging learning environment for pupils.
  3. Set homework or exercises for pupils to practice after classroom hours.
  4. Demonstrate tasks, assign activities, and encourage discussions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You must be a qualified teacher holding a valid QTS.
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of pupils.
  • Up-to-date EWC registration.
  • A passion for creating a safe and welcoming environment for children to succeed.
