Job description

Position: KS2 Teacher / Key Stage 2 Teacher

Location: Haringey, North London (Inner London Pay Scale)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time, until July 2025 (with potential to continue in September)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:30am - 04:00pm | Term time only
Pay Rate: £198.80 to £257.89 per day PAYE (MPS 1-6 Inner London)

A welcoming and community-focused primary school in the heart of Haringey is seeking a committed KS2 Teacher to join their vibrant team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified Key Stage 2 Teacher to take on a rewarding Year 5 class role starting immediately.

About the Role - KS2 Teacher / Key Stage 2 Teacher

This two-form entry school offers excellent support and development for all staff. As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you'll take on full class teaching responsibilities for a Year 5 group. You'll be joining a tight-knit team where planning and ideas are shared collaboratively between both KS2 Teachers to ensure consistency and creativity in lesson delivery.

The school is looking for a confident and passionate KS2 Teacher who can hit the ground running and engage students through interactive and inclusive teaching strategies.

Key Responsibilities - KS2 Teacher / Key Stage 2 Teacher

  1. Lead your Year 5 class as a skilled KS2 Teacher, covering all core curriculum subjects
  2. Work closely with the partner Key Stage 2 Teacher to plan and assess effectively
  3. Maintain strong classroom management and build positive pupil relationships
  4. Create a safe and stimulating learning environment for pupils to flourish
  5. Use assessment data to inform next steps and support individual learning needs
  6. Communicate regularly with parents and carers to share progress and celebrate success

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven experience as a KS2 Teacher
  2. A deep understanding of the Key Stage 2 national curriculum, especially Year 5
