Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves is seeking a KS2 Teacher for a secondary school in Braintree to start September 2026. The role focuses on delivering targeted literacy interventions to Year 7 students who are struggling academically, helping them access the secondary curriculum.

Qualifications

• Hold British QTS or have completed UK teacher training.
• Strong KS2 teaching experience within a UK primary school.
• Proven background in literacy and supporting pupils with gaps in learning.
• Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs.
• Legally entitled to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted literacy and academic intervention to Year 7 pupils.
• Support pupils with gaps in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and comprehension.
• Use assessment to identify areas for development and track progress.
• Build pupils' confidence, independence and engagement with learning.
• Work collaboratively with secondary teachers and pastoral staff.
• Provide structured, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
