Job Description:

KS2 Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a graduate able to support SATS preparation for Year 6 pupils? Can you provide 1:1 and small group intervention support, helping attainment levels and bridging the gap between under-achieving pupils and their peers? If so, this is the perfect role as a KS2 Graduate Teaching Assistant!

*** Salary: £80 - £90 per day

*** September 2024 – July 2025

*** Location: Wolverhampton

*** 1:1 and small group SATs support

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Working with individual students and small groups to provide additional support and guidance
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour management strategies
  • Helping to assess and monitor student progress
  • Contributing to the wider school community, including attending school events and meetings

The ideal graduate should be:

  • Patience and empathy: As EYFS children are young and just beginning their educational journey, a TA must have patience and empathy while working with them.
  • Creativity and imagination: EYFS children learn best through play and creative activities, so a TA should have a creative and imaginative mind to come up with exciting and engaging activities for the children.
  • Adaptability: EYFS children's needs and abilities can vary greatly, and a TA must be adaptable to adjust their teaching methods and activities to meet these needs.
  • Enthusiasm and energy: Working with young children requires a lot of energy and enthusiasm, and a TA should be willing to participate fully in all classroom activities.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join the team as a KS2 Graduate Teaching Assistant at a vibrant and diverse primary school in Wolverhampton. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and helping them achieve their full potential, providing 1:1 and small group intervention support in preparation for their SATs examinations in May.

If you are interested in this exciting opportunity to develop your career in education and make a real difference to the lives of young learners, please apply with your CV and a covering letter explaining your interest and suitability for the role.
