Job summary

Windmills Junior School in West Sussex is seeking a KS2 Class Teacher on a maternity cover basis, to start after February Half term and continue until 31 August 2027 with potential extension.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team, teach a Year 3/4 class in a three-form entry school, build strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff, and deliver high-quality learning experiences while maintaining high standards of progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status required.
• Ability to engage with children and parents effectively.
• Experience in Key Stage 2 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach KS2 classes during maternity cover from February half-term to Aug 31, 2027.
• Deliver high-quality lessons that raise pupil attainment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide timely feedback to pupils and parents.
• Collaborate with the three-form entry team to plan and share workload.
