Job summary

Greswold Primary School is seeking a full-time upper Key Stage 2 class teacher to cover maternity leave starting as soon as possible. This fixed-term post is subject to the return of the substantive post holder and offers a supportive, collaborative school community.

Salary ranges from £32,916 to £51,048 depending on experience; applications welcomed from Early Career Teachers and experienced staff. Closing date 21 September 2026; interview 24 September 2026.

We are seeking to appoint a full-time upper key Stage2 Class Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting as soon as possible. This is a fixed-term position, subject to the return of the substantive post holder.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and reflective teacher to join a welcoming and collaborative school for a fixed period. We are looking for someone who is creative, enthusiastic and passionate about inclusive practice, and who can make a positive contribution to pupils’ academic, emotional and social development during the maternity cover period.

The successful applicant will be paid on the Main to Upper Pay Range (M1–U3), currently £32,916 to £51,048, dependent on experience. Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers as well as experienced teachers. Please note that the school does not automatically recognise pay portability.
