Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Paid to scale

The Role:

As our new Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across the curriculum. You will have the opportunity to shape young minds, cultivate curiosity, and create an exciting learning environment that celebrates the joy of discovery.

In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will also take on the role of English Lead, where you will play a key role in shaping the vision and delivery of English throughout the school. As an English Lead, you'll have the chance to:

  • Lead the development of the English curriculum, ensuring it’s engaging, challenging, and inclusive for all learners.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality teaching and learning in English, supporting them in delivering exciting lessons.
  • Champion the love of reading and writing across the school, inspiring students to become confident and passionate readers and writers.
  • Lead initiatives to improve literacy standards, including planning events such as author visits, book weeks, and writing competitions.
  • Drive the implementation of creative and innovative strategies to make English an exciting and integral part of the school experience for all students.

  • A qualified Class Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • A passion for English, with a strong understanding of the English curriculum.
  • Excellent teaching skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.

  • A collaborative team player who is eager to share ideas and best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills and a desire to take ownership of the English Lead role.
