Job summary

Smart Multi Academy Trust is recruiting a KS2 Class Teacher to join Oakfield Infant School in Gateshead. The role is a fixed-term post from 01 January 2027 to 31 August 2027 or until the postholder returns, with responsibilities across a nurturing and high-achievement environment.

You will work with supportive staff to drive progress for all pupils, including those with SEND, while embracing the Trust's values and safeguarding commitments.

The successful candidate will be subject to an online search in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (2026) legislation.

Your principal place of work will be Oakfield Infant School but you may be required to work at other Trust sites within Smart Multi Academy Trust within reason.
