Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for an outstanding primary school in Windsor. The role is a full-time position starting ASAP, with a focus on delivering engaging KS1 lessons and supporting early literacy and numeracy development.

You will plan and assess progress, foster a positive classroom environment, and work closely with teaching assistants, parents and colleagues to help pupils build confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally in KS1.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of the Year 1 curriculum.
• Can deliver creative lessons that engage and motivate young learners.
• Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Is passionate about helping children develop academically and socially.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
• Develop pupils' reading, writing and mathematical abilities.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and a love of learning.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents to support pupil development.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to assessment activities.
