GSL Education are currently looking to appoint a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant for a welcoming school in Doncaster As a Key Stage 1 TA, you will support the learning and development of pupils in Key Stage 1 through engaging and nurturing classroom assistance.

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing targeted support to pupils in Year 1 and Year 2, individually and in small groups.
• Assisting the class teacher with delivering lessons and preparing classroom resources.
• Supporting pupils with phonics, early numeracy, literacy, and personal development.
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a calm, inclusive classroom.
• Helping pupils build confidence and independence through praise and encouragement.

To be successful as a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will need to:

• Have previous experience working with KS1 pupils in a school or similar setting.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and a caring, nurturing approach.
• Be patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting early learning.
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply.
• Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the last 10 years.
