Job Opportunity: KS1 Teaching Assistant

A ‘good’ 2 form entry school in Barnet is seeking a full-time, experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant from April 2025 to July 2025. The school is committed to providing high-quality education, fostering creativity, and supporting staff well-being and career development. The environment is friendly and welcoming, with adequate onsite parking and good transport links. Pay starts from £90.00 per day.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  1. Deliver RWI phonics sessions (Ruth Miskin Phonics Method)
  2. Have experience in KS1
  3. Work with SEN children if required
  4. Assess individual learning needs of pupils
  5. Manage challenging behaviour positively
  6. Liaise with parents, carers, and professionals
  7. Supervise activities
  8. Collaborate with teachers to create bespoke, child-centered education plans
  9. Work with children in small groups and one-on-one
