Job summary

Long-Term Teachers Ltd is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant in North Somerset for a primary school in the BS49 area. The role is full-time starting in September, supporting a KS1 class with interventions and 1:1 support for some SEN pupils.

A wonderful Primary School in the BS49 area of North Somerset are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistants to work 1 to 1 with some SEN pupils across the school in the new academic year.

This school is a 2 form entry school, where the team aim to work and learn together as a community, in an environment of trust in which everyone is important and valued, to create learners who show tolerance, respect and work well with others.

The Role

Starting in September, you will be working across a KS1 classroom supporting the Class Teacher with interventions (Phonics and Maths) as well as whole class learning.

We are looking for someone who has a great knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, someone who has knowledge of phonics and can hit the ground running.

You will be expected to:

  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to assess children' s development.
  • Have prior experience working with children or in a school environment
  • Opportunity to work 1:1 with SEND children.
  • Use your knowledge and relationship to understand what the child may need
  • Support with emotional and social development.

Full-time
